Job Description

Our client is part of the world s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, with a fleet of over 150 aircraft. The group also provides a range of aviation services including, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), pilot and crew training, ground handling, as well as a variety of associated services and are currently recruiting for a Cabin Mechanic

As Cabin Mechanic you will be Working with and under the guidance of the Certifying Engineer and Lead Mechanic on the zone/aircraft as allocated. Supporting them with all aspects of Aircraft Maintenance performed by the Company.

Job Accountabilities

  • Be proficient in maintaining aircraft to the appropriate standard
  • Being able to perform all maintenance tasks including but not limited to;
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
  • Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand tools and power tools
  • Replace and replenish aircraft fluids, including fuel, oils and lubricants
  • Prepare and paint aircraft surfaces
  • Remove or install aircraft components
  • Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance
  • Maintain, repair, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, gaskets, and seals
  • Communicate with other workers to coordinate fitting and alignment of heavy parts, or to facilitate processing of repair parts
  • Inventory and requisition or order supplies, parts, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure correct use and accuracy of the MRO system is maintained with regards to all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of regulatory requirements and any associated changes in relation to EASA Part 145, Part M and Part 66
  • Hold and maintain a valid Company Aircraft Mechanic authorisation
  • We are looking for Cabin Mechanics that currently:
  • Hold the right to work in the UK proof is required as part of our shortlisting process
  • Have completed a recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or hold similar experience
  • Have a good standard of written/ spoken English, including the ability to interact at a technical level

Shift Pattern:

5,5,4 Shift Pattern

12 hour day shifts
