Job Description

PRG Technical is currently seeking a highly skilled and certified Forklift Operator for a reputable client in the construction materials sector, specializing in cinder blocks and pavers. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our client's operations in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts to load and unload trucks with cinder blocks, pavers, and other construction materials.
  • Ensure accurate and timely handling of materials to support production and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe work boots and gloves.
  • Participate in a two-week training program starting at 8:00 AM, transitioning to regular start times at 6:00 AM upon completion.

Requirements:

  • Current Forklift Certification: Applicants must possess a valid forklift operator certification.
  • Relevant Experience: Must have prior experience loading trucks in a cinder block yard or with pavers.
  • Background Check: Candidates will be subject to a state background check.
  • Drug Test: A 7-panel drug test is required for all prospective employees.
  • PPE: Steel-toe work boots and gloves are mandatory for this position.

Additional Information:

Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive onboarding process, including a practical test to assess forklift operating skills, followed by an orientation session. Upon successful completion of the two-week training period, the official start time for the position will be 6:00 AM.
