A highly regarded specialist of the subcontract manufacture of complex, precision machined parts and components and assemblies for predominately the Aerospace sector, to global aerospace OEM and Tier 1 customers.

Job Profile
As the successful CNC Miller Setter/Operator, your role will involve setup, operation, and maintenance of 5axis CNC Milling machines.
Your expertise in machine setup, and precision machining will ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet strict industry standards and specifications.
You will work closely with engineers, and other manufacturing personnel to achieve efficient and accurate machining operations.

Duties:

  • Setting and operating CNC 5axis Milling machines.
  • Machining to tight tolerances from a variety of metal and plastic materials.
  • Working from engineering drawings.
  • Directly involved in continuous improvement programs and quality control.


Skills & Attributes:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in setting and operating CNC 5axis Milling machines, including installing workpieces, fixtures, cutting tools.
  • Ability to select and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures for the machining process.
  • Must be self-motivated, shows initiative, can problem solve and work alone.
  • A sound working knowledge and understanding of machine tooling and proper tool usage is essential.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in operating CNC machines, specifically Heidenhain & Fanuc Controls.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code).


Hours of Work:

  • Weekly rotating shift (earlies / lates)
  • Mon-Thurs 6-2, Fri 6-11
  • Mon-Thurs 2-10, Fri 11-4
  • 7:30am 4pm, Mon-Thurs & 7.30am-12.30pm, Fri for probation/training.
  • 12 to 15 p/hr + 25% Shift Allowance
  • Overtime available paid at x1.5hrs.
