Contek Recruitment are proud to represent our client, a leading provider of CNC machining, prototyping, and engineering services based in Camberley, Surrey.

Position Overview: We are looking for a CNC Miller who is proficient in programming, setting up, and operating CNC Mills 3-5 axis). The ideal candidate will have experience working with Hurco controls, and ideally having Fusion 360 CADCAM experience. They will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality production and meeting strict deadlines.

Working Hours: The standard working week for this position is 40 hours, with flexibility built into the schedule to accommodate varying production demands and personal preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Select and install cutting tools, adjust tool offsets, and make necessary machine adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Interpret and modify CNC programs as needed to optimize machining processes and minimize cycle times.
  • Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations and prevent downtime.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller with proficiency in programming, setting, and operating multi-axis mills
  • Proficiency with Hurco is required.
  • CADCAM Experience ideally with Fusion360 (Will consider other systems)
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
