Job Description

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for Van Drivers for our client based in HD2, Huddersfield.

This is a temp to perm role, with a permanent contract available after 12 weeks.

This role involves loading and delivering seafood and other fresh food products to customers across North England and North Wales.

Shifts & salary:

  • Monday to Saturday
  • Must work every Saturday - non-negotiable
  • One day off mid week, rotating weekly
  • £11.50 an hour
  • 5am/7am start
  • 40 hours a week with potential OT

Role details:

  • Loading and unloading van with food products
  • Delivering to customers across the North of England
  • Following correct manual handling and equipment training and techniques
  • Following planned routes and delivering orders to customers
  • Following company health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Providing a friendly face of the business to customers

The candidate:

  • Must have no more than 6 points on driving licence
  • Must be happy working Saturdays
  • Must be prepared to transport and handle heavy loads if required
  • Comfortable with driving long distances following route navigation
