Job Description

Are you an experienced CAD engineer, used to dealing with electrical and mechanical products in a production business and are you looking for a growing company and a position where you can make a difference?

This is an opportunity to join a busy engineering team in a fast moving manufacturing environment that is working with some of the most successful machinery builders worldwide. PP C&A are one of the largest independent suppliers of control and automation solutions in Europe, working across a wide range of sectors. We provide strategic outsourcing solutions to many of the most successful and respected machinery builders worldwide. With more than 200 staff based at our site in Walsall, West Midlands, we are award-winning and fast growing, with ambitious plans for the future.

As part of our Engineering team you'll be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical drawings and design documentation for a range of automation and control products for a variety of customer projects. Delivering clear, accurate and complete drawings into our production environment is vital to our success, and you'll understand how to do so quickly and thoroughly, working to support the rest of the engineering team to ensure smooth running of the manufacturing process. You will be qualified to at least HNC level, with experience in a production environment and a high level of competency with CAD packages such as AutoCad Inventor, CorelDraw and Creo. Paper qualifications are not the heart of this job, what is most important is the desire to solve engineering problems and get things done.

On a personal level, you'll want to be part of really growing and developing our engineering team and the whole engineering function. This is a team that achieves results together and we want to make sure that this continues as the business keeps expanding.

We are looking for people who want to make a difference, and we recognise and reward people for doing just that. Continuous improvement is a big part of our culture, and it's one of the reasons we are doing so well. We would like you to come and be part of our growth, and to grow along with us.
