Your job

At Tata Steel there are several plants with a vacancy for Electrical Engineers. Modernisation of maintenance only works using present and future technologies for automation and digitalisation.
We are at the beginning of the next phase of our digital transformation journey in maintenance with a focus on further standardisation as well as efficient use of resources. With an electrical engineering background, preferable with knowledge on "High Voltage", our immense installations will get you excited for sure. Your working day?
Your working day starts between 07.00 - 09.00 am because you are flexible at what time you start your day. At the start of the working day you will meet with your colleagues during the daily morning work transfer meeting: the perfect moment to discuss the questions, actions and solutions for that day with your colleagues from the factory. During your working day you will spend about half of your time behind the computer for administration and desk research and the other half is spent investigating and solving technical problems. You will also consult and visit colleagues in the plant (plant managers, operators and technicians) regarding technical issues.

You will face many technical challenges and you will be working on A-class installations. When these installations are out of operation unplanned, there is immediate loss of production and for that reason we have started our Journey to Reliability with preventive maintenance. This is increasingly based on big data to which you have access via power apps and dashboards. Your work contributes to reliable installations en increased output of our plants: a very responsible job.

Is this you?

You have to be able to convince your production colleagues of your solution, that is why it is important that you are communicatively strong and have the power of persuasion. Furthermore you have:

- a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- several years of experience in electrical maintenance of large installations in an industrial enviroment.
- several years of experience in high voltage

Our ambition for 2050 is to produce green steel.
