Night Shift Tuesday - Friday

Location of the HGV Technician / Diesel Mechanic / HGV Mechanic - Alfreton

Hours of work for the HGV Technician / Diesel Mechanic:
Night Shift
Tuesday - Friday 20:30 - 07:00
40 hours a week

Salary for the HGV Technician / Diesel Mechanic:
41,600 ( 19.00ph plus 40 a week shift allowance)
plus overtime

My client, a major commercial Workshop in the UK, are looking for an HGV Technician to work in their Alfreton Workshop.

In this role you will be reporting to the Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and service routines, repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner. Being a team player is also key, whilst also able to work to deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative

The role of HGV Technician / Diesel Mechanic will include:

Carrying out scheduled servicing inspection and preparation for testing as required for all vehicles
Undertaking regular safety inspections of HGVs in accordance with the statutory requirements
Inspecting vehicles to diagnose faults (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic) and repair as necessary.
Completing all necessary records relating to the inspection, service and repair of all items in accordance with statutory and administrative requirements.
Liaising with colleagues, vehicle operatives and managers to prioritise workload, organise replacement parts and/or specialist support when required.

Required for this HGV Technician role:

Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician or Time Served
Diagnostic experience is an advantage
Full UK Driving Licence
