Job Description

Goals.The goal of this document is to run through the overall process that will be needed for the IXR install/7750 SR-1 Router Migration Project with Verizon. This document will describe technologies and methods of procedure that you will need to follow to complete the job to the best of your ability.

Pre- work guidelines.
To proceed with the installation and finally, the final packet and reporting, the installer must follow some steps:
a.Login to site using the SES application.

Take as many pictures as necessary of the location, site conditions,
available equipment, take pictures of both pre- and post

configurations of equipment.Make sure to bring a long Ethernet cord and plenty of longer fibers as you will likely need them for this installation. You will need an SD card reader on your PC as well as the Putty application.

Located the Router units and the provided fiber mapping.
Confirm the bill of materials BOM prior to start, the port assignments,
tools, and all documentation provide by Verizon Wireless. Most likely

the only thing we will provide is spare fibers as well as spare SFPs, but

everything that will be moved is already on site.

Any complications, contact your supervisor or project manager right
away as well as the switch team. g. Once more, take pictures after the changes, focusing on the

equipment what have been installed it and any other picture

required to finish your close out package report.

Equipment familiarity:
For the purpose of clarity there will be a short passage here on what equipment

you will need to be familiar with on the job.

The overall process of this install project is quite involved and will require a good

amount of attention to detail and communication with the switch team. Many

cables will be moved around and various configurations will be changed.
