Job Description

Berry Recruitment are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a client based in Helston area.

The ideal candidate will have previous mechanical/ electrical experience. You will be proactive, health and safety conscious and happy to get hands on.

Main responsibilities:

  • Servicing, fault-finding and fixing day to day plant issues
  • Creating pro-active strategies to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our plant operations going forward. To include engagement with operators to drive autonomous working on lines.
  • Responding quickly to breakdown requests from production and dealing with emergencies and unplanned problems in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with and arrange for external contractors as and when needed.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • A pro-active approach to the daily plant issues you'll come across.
  • Sound knowledge of industrial mechanical maintenance with specific experience in electrical fault finding.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a small production team.
  • Recognised Engineering qualifications
  • LEAN manufacturing knowledge is desirable but not essential

This is a full time permanent position.

You will be flexible and willing to work day shifts including weekends and bank holidays when required.

Shifts will vary between 6am and 8pm.

Salary will be between 25,000 up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience.
