Our expectations
Reporting to the Regional Distribution Center Director, the Planning Manager is primarily responsible for the planning and execution of the annual budget for all non-capital expenditures. The scope includes multiple locations: RDC 3110 (Hardware), Annex (Appliance/Seasonal) and Halton Hills (Lumber Yard). This role will forecast volume projections weekly and distributes costs attributed to labor resources, building supplies and miscellaneous expenses. The role will mentor and provide leadership to a team of up to 40 direct and indirect reports. The role requires building and enhancing strong working relationships (internally within the Distribution Centers as well has Head Office and externally with Vendors) to drive performance. The role will work closely with Supply Chain to amalgamate all banners' inventory into one system.

Your role
Create facility budget annually by distributing budget given from Corporate into predetermined cost buckets; account for peak season
Monitor the facility budget regularly against costs occurred from labor adjustments, hiring, miscellaneous costs, building supplies, etc. to ensure facility is at or below budget target
Manage up to $100ml of inventory at all three sites to ensure inventory management and accuracy.
Create hiring strategy for labor (contractual temporary employee, seasonal employee, part-time or Full time Lowe's employee)
Monitor flow of product as well as create and implement process improvement to ensure efficient product flow
Develop, manage, and monitor RDC performance reporting on quality, productivity, cost and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Merchandising in ongoing Transformation Projects to amalgamate all banners' inventory into one system
Mentor and monitor team's performance and set them up for success; achieve or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance and budget targets

The qualifications we are looking for
College diploma or higher (and/or equivalent experience preferred)
Demonstrated leadership and team building ability
Strong interpersonal/communication skills in order to work effectively at several levels of the organization and across multiple functional areas
Experience creating and managing budgets; forecasting
Analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; creative problem-solving
Successfully manages multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience and willingness to mentor and coach others
Ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts among team members
Highly motivated to the team's and facility's success
Approaches change optimistically; adjusts proficiently to changing work environments
Copes positively in high-stress work environment
Familiarity with distribution center operations; previous experience a strong asset
Familiarity with inventory and quality control management; previous experience a strong asset
High proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems, Access and Excel
