Job descriptionOperations ManagerSalary: £42,000 - £45,000WakefieldWe have an opportunity for someone to join our business as an Operations Manager into an existing team who have an abundance of experience within Logistics.Are you are someone who has a keen attention to detail?Do you have a sound understanding of planning and all things logistics?Are you wanting to take that next step in your career?If you have answered yes to the above then we want to hear from you!As a leading logistics and supply chain provider with a national offering, this is an opportunity that would suit someone who has worked within a similar business and is keen to really elevate their career by putting into practice the knowledge and skills they have acquired so far.Operations Manager Duties:
  • Accountable for the management and supervision of the dispatch operation
  • Manage, support and develop the operational team
  • Ensure the performance of the operation exceeds customer expectations in line with recognised contract KPI's
  • Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ensure operational compliance including H&S
  • Assist the Regional Manager in ensuring all operational performance standards are met
  • Manage the team, undertaking regular reviews plan and arrange for the training and development of operational staff
  • Ensure and monitor effective use of driver and vehicle resources
  • Establish and develop working relationships with the customer
  • Compile and analyse operational and financial performance data to identify service efficiencies and improvement around, MPG, Tachos, fuel and damage
  • Coordinate site housekeeping/maintenance to ensure H&S requirements are upheld
  • Some travelling between different sites across West Yorkshire
