Job Description

THE ROLE:
The Operations Supervisor will join the team reporting into the Operations Manager and work on a wide ranging set of tasks including resource allocation and management, analysis of production data, improvement activities and projects as well as supporting the day-to-day running of a busy Operations team. The role would suit someone who is used to a fast-paced production or assembly environment with experience leading teams or projects.

You will be exposed to all areas of the business including Production, Materials, Quality, Logistics, Planning, Sales, Purchasing and Engineering and will be expected to learn quickly on the job whilst working closely with the Operations Manager to integrate as a key member of staff to support the daily functioning of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
• Support resource planning and allocation to ensure production targets are achieved
• Work closely with Production Team leaders to monitor progress and WIP
• Support key operations projects including adjustments to factory layout, managing WIP reduction and ensuring production capabilities to produce new products
• Working with Quality team to ensure best practice for production and supporting with any non-conformances identified
• Liaising with all areas of the business as needed to ensure key requirements are captured and communicated at Project or Production level
• Identify and action improvement opportunities within both the office and factory from tooling improvements to process or system adjustments to improve efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• The ability to communicate well at all levels of the business is essential
• Experience within a workshop / production line environment
• Intermediate Microsoft Office user
• Experience with SAGE preferred but not essential
• Mechanical, Engineering or Technical background desired
