PCB Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced PCB Design Engineer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCB design and control electronics, and will play a key role in designing PCB layouts, electrical schematics, and supporting the mechanical design and manufacturing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and layout of PCBs
• Entry of electrical schematics from engineering sketches.
• Creation and modification of 3D models and assemblies, including part and BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
• Maintenance of PCB libraries and drawing systems.
• Production of system schematics, wiring diagrams, and schedules.
• Adherence to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems.

Skills and Experience Required:

• HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience in PCB design, preferably to IPC standards, with a solid understanding of analogue, digital, and surface mount technologies.
• Proficient in CAD software for PCB and mechanical design (experience with Cadstar, eCadstar, Board Modeller, Inventor, and AutoCAD is highly advantageous).
• Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Office.
