Role
Reporting into the Associate Director, as Principal Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for leading the delivery of innovative and sustainable projects within a single specialist sector or a range including Commercial, Residential, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Defence, Data Centres and Life Sciences.

Responsibilities
Act as Principal Mechanical Engineer and Project or Discipline Lead on mechanical and multi-disciplinary projects.
Maintain client contact and ensure that project delivery meets the client's objectives and requirements.
Coordinate mechanical services designs with other building services disciplines and external teams including architects and structural engineers.
Ensure that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and completed in accordance with agreed timescales and budgets.
Manage mechanical building services engineering consultancy and design for large scale projects.
Produce concept design through to detailed design for building services engineering systems.
Ensure all design projects and reports are technically compliant and to a consistently high standard.
Provide technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist in the mentoring and development of others
Work collaboratively and cooperatively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Requirements
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
Minimum of 5 years' experience in designing mechanical building services engineering projects.
Membership of a professional body (CIBSE or IET preferred) and committed to achieving Chartership.
Experience with industry specific software such as Bluebeam, Hevacomp, Cymap, IES etc.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels across multiple disciplines, as well as clients
