Public Health Engineer

Battersea, South West London

Foster + Partners, the award winning multidisciplinary consultancy have excellent opportunities for experienced Public Health Engineers (building services) to join our Environmental Engineering department to be based in Battersea. We design integrated active building systems that focus on resource efficiency, environmental quality and resilience. Global experience coupled with rigorous analysis underpins our ability to specify systems which respond to the local context, the climate and the needs of our clients. By developing advanced design tools and selectively adopting new technologies we maintain a constant commitment to innovation.

Skills & experience required:

  • Qualified as a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status
  • Solid technical understanding of own core engineering discipline and the role of the Public Health engineer within the design team
  • Broad understanding of other engineering disciplines engaged in the design of the built environment
  • Working knowledge of UK core technical guidance published by CIBSE, British Standards, ISO, BSRIA and CIPHE
  • Able to negotiate and communicate well in graphical, written or verbal forms including ability to listen and to understand others
  • Ability to understand and formulate design decisions
  • Developed problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Understanding of financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget
  • Ability to use Autodesk Revit
  • Knowledge of Fire Protection systems design
  • LEED qualified or having working familiarity with environmental assessment methods
