Job Description

Transport Coordinator

An opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to work with a busy, friendly team is now available.

We are looking for someone who has a positive, and proactive attitude, along with being super organised and able to manage the daily operational tasks which include managing customers and our client's drivers.

  • The successful candidate will schedule/plan and prepare daily routes for the team and ensure they are thoroughly debriefed at the end of their shifts.
  • Record and input data onto bespoke computer system and keep it maintained.
  • Communicate with the workshops and fleet team to check availability and ensure vehicles are maintained and compliant.
  • You will have 1st class customer service skills with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail with accuracy.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ideally local South Downs, West Sussex, so that you know the geographical area.
  • Full driving licence is essential and a huge advantage if you hold your HGV!

Hours: 7-4.30pm Mon-Fri Plus 1 in 3 Sat mornings.
