Our client is a well-established export and import full load and groupage services to Western and Eastern Europe and beyond.With a strong reputation for delivering the highest levels of customer service both in the UK and Europe. Benefiting from a modern fleet of eco-friendly Euro 6 trucks, and a 70 strong mixed fleet of vehicles including armoured curtain-sided trailers, Mega low ride high security box trailers, double deck trailers and temperature-controlled units.We are now recruiting for a Transport Manager based in Wakefield. Your role will involve Transport Manager Job Description Contribute and assist with the daily planning and organisation of the fleet. Ensure the fleet is properly maintained to high standards, arranging repairs/maintenance where necessary. Ensuring all drivers have up to date licences, documentation, and qualifications. Ensure vehicle compliance is up to date and any defects or faults are actioned. Liaising with the operations teams and ensure that any deviations or amendments to the days plan are communicated internally and relevant external parties are notified where required. Ensuring that the groups European subsidiaries fleet is utilised efficiently as possible. Ensuring the operations transport system is effectively use and maintained.Ideal Candidate Qualities and role Prior experience of operating a fleet with both UK and European operations (50+ vehicles) A current, valid Transport Manager CPC qualification An ability to motivate and lead people. High level of skills and an ability to manipulate data and provide useful reports. An appreciation and understanding of the regulatory background of operating a haulage business in the UK and EU Managing a team of 2/3 people - experience advantageous but not critical.Package & Benefits Salary £35,000 to £50,000 Pension Holidays
