Job Description

TRANSPORT PLANNER £31000 - £33000 per annum + BONUS

Monday to Friday office based.

Permanent tole IMMEDIATE INTERVIEW

I am recruiting for an experienced Transport / Logistics Planner to work within my client on the outskirts of Chelmsford

Free parking is provided but you will need your own transport due to the rural location of these newly refurbished offices.

You will be planning the pickup, drop offs and servicing of hired equipment for a fleet of over 60 vehicles across multiple depots, the role involves working in the Service Operations group, planning transport routes, and allocating services, deliveries and collections using the planning software tools. You will be working in a team of Transport Planners, reporting the Service Manager.

The main purpose of the role is to manage the transport of service drivers, whilst providing excellent customer service. The atmosphere is busy and buzzy in the newly refurbished offices, and you will be communicating internally with the customer service teams, as well as depot managers, to help solve any queries as they arise.

We are looking for:

• Experience within a similar role - essential

• Transport and logistics sector experience preferable.

• Must be IT literate and able to use tools such as Word, Excel etc. Someone with their own transport.

Transport planner, road freight planner or logistics administrator would be ideal for this role.

Please note: Due to the location of the offices, your own transport is necessary for this role.

• 08:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday

• Workplace Pension Scheme (NEST) after a three-month employment.
