Job Description

Transport Planner - Foston, Derby - up to 30,000

You will be joining a family-run logistics company that are experts in all they do, are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team.

As Transport Planner, you will be working with a small team of Planners, routing company owned vehicles UK wide.

The Role:

  • Transport planner will be routing company owned vehicles
  • You must Plan routes as cost effectively as possible
  • It is the Transport Planners responsibility to plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours
  • Transport Planner will ensure all customers are kept up to date
  • All necessary admin must be completed
  • You will be working with the Operations Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
  • Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the companies' requirements.

The Requirements:

  • Extensive Transport route planning skills
  • Pallet Network is experience preferred
  • Excellent geographical knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
