Job Description

Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Circa 32,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Transport Planner to join our client's team. As a Transport Planner, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing efficient transportation strategies to enhance our overall supply chain operations.

Main duties as the Transport Planner include:
Management and planning of drivers
Controlling and planning an agreed amount of resource, ensuring all requirements are adhered to
Ensure the daily plan is completed whilst managing resources effectively
Maximising utilisation of vehicles, drivers and trailers whilst minimising cost
Brief and de brief drivers daily
Monitoring drivers whilst out on delivery
Dealing with issues raised during the day
Ensuring all drivers have correct paperwork and PPE

The ideal candidate will have:
2 years experience within transport planning
Good geographical knowledge
Strong personality
