Job Description

Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Keeper at our Humboldt, TN location. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing materials, fulfilling orders, and maintaining inventory control. If you are detail-oriented, excel in a fast-paced environment, and have experience operating warehouse equipment, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete material requirements by processing and loading internal and external work orders, routing them to their required destinations.
  • Verify material counts and specifications, and prepare and package materials for routing both internally and externally.
  • Attach identifying information and delivery instructions on containers.
  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area.
  • Drive forklifts to complete deliveries to and from final destinations.
  • Report on and inspect warehouse equipment, particularly forklifts, to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and conducting regular stock checks.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining a clean shipping supply area; and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations using 6S standards.
  • Maintain quality service by following organizational standards.
  • Complete necessary reports by entering required information.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous warehouse experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified to operate a forklift and crane.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to follow and understand directions thoroughly.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Dependability and a commitment to punctuality and scheduled attendance.
